Job Description:

It's More Than a Job, It's a Calling! Position: Maintenance Trades Specialist Lead. Location: Atrium Health Cleveland; 201 E. Grove St., Shelby, NC. Full Time; 1st Shift ~Mon-Fri; nights and weekends as needed. Focus on Electrical and HVAC controls, BAS, Emergency power systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems
  • Diagnoses and implements complex repairs for multiple Utility System, Infrastructure and Life Safety Systems
  • Installs/replace and maintains building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and controls systems
  • Operates, monitors and maintains advanced utility equipment (generators, plant chillers, steam boilers, fire protection systems, etc.) and provides oversight of building automation systems to maintain and improve system efficiencies
  • Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems
  • Reads and updates blueprints, Life Safety drawings and manuals for accurate task completion
  • Interfaces with vendors, contractors and construction vendors to ensure safe utility interfacing and tie-in
  • Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and ensuring required testing, calibrations and maintenance records are provided and maintained

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain
  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training
  • 5 or more Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight with advanced technical skills in facility maintenance
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills required
  • Advanced computer skills/competency required in using and operating systems such as Microsoft Office Platform, Building Automation Systems, Pneumatic Tube Systems
  • Clear understanding of applicable compliance codes and guidelines
  • Clear understanding of multiple trades and systems and how they interconnect and support the location
  • Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance
  • Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force
  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions
  • Position requires travel
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
