Job Responsibility:
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and complex repairs on a fleet of specialist rail vehicles
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
Carry out essential pre-use checks on tools and equipment
Support key tasks such as topping up fuel and sand levels
Adhere to rigorous engineering standards and procedures
Ensure all relevant documentation and asset management systems are accurately completed
Requirements:
Minimum level 3 qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering
Previous work experience in a production or maintenance based engineering role
Good team player with strong safety awareness
Pass a basic DBS check
Pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
Pass a full rail standard medical
Nice to have:
Background in HGV maintenance, aerospace, plant machinery, marine, the armed forces or industrial maintenance
Transferable skills in hands on equipment maintenance
