Piper Companies is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic and innovative biotechnology organization in Silver Spring, MD.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems to ensure optimal functioning and climate control
  • Complete basic repairs involving electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general facilities work
  • Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely manner
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Assist with moves, equipment installations, and facility projects as needed

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience working in facilities maintenance/management
  • HVAC, electrical, heating & plumbing experience required
  • Professional attitude and good communication skills

  • Must have a working knowledge of basic electrical test apparatus such as multimeters and megohmmeters
  • Use proper equipment to test, repair, & verify various forms of digital & analog signals
