Looking for a hands-on maintenance role where no two days are the same? As a Maintenance Technician supporting our South Central operations, you'll play a key role in keeping our livestock facilities safe, functional, and running efficiently. Performing basic welding on stalls, crates, and penning
Installing and maintaining barn equipment and facility components (feeders, feed and water lines, animal stalls, etc.)
Supporting preventative maintenance on tractors and farm equipment, as needed
Actively contributing to the preventative maintenance program by providing improvement recommendations
Completing scheduled work orders and site visits efficiently
Documenting completed and outstanding work orders accurately
Applying best practices to address maintenance deficiencies
Conducting facility and equipment assessments or audits
Responding promptly to production and maintenance calls to minimize downtime
Providing on-the-job training to barn staff and other employees
Supporting additional maintenance duties as assigned
Requirements:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.
Grade 12 diploma (trade-related post-secondary education is considered an asset).
One to three years of experience in general maintenance
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays within MB and possible travel to SK.
Self-directed, motivated team player with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a livestock (hog) farm environment.
Ability to adhere to all biosecurity requirements and health and safety regulations.
Ability to work at various heights and in confined spaces.
