Job Description:

We have one part-time position available for a Maintenance Handyperson to support all aspects of the hotels Engineering function. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow and advance your career in Australia's first Luxury Collection Hotel. We're looking for an experienced handyman who can manage and support the ongoing maintenance, repairs and upkeep of the building.

Job Responsibility:

Complete daily plant inspections
Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of room equipment (door locks, smart card access systems, kitchen equipment, safes, televisions, phones and other electronic devices)
General handyperson duties including sanding, painting, silicon work and drain cleaning
Ensure exceptional service delivery when attending to guest requests for maintenance repairs
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 15kg
Support the department achieve team objectives and deliverables
Work collaboratively with internal departments
Be a brand ambassador and reflect our core values

Requirements:

Experience working in a similar position (preferably hotel setting)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive and solutions focused
Master in time management and organizational skills
Demonstrate sound decision-making capability and able to work autonomously
Full working rights in Australia
Basic software skills are essential in this role to keep engineering systems and records updated
