Maintenance Technician

• Maintain plant equipment by interpreting shop manuals and schematic drawings
• Maintain plants boilers, hot water systems, HVAC, refrigeration, chiller systems, fire protection, and building repairs
• Perform precise measurements and tests
• Work with minimum supervision
• Work in temperature extremes and high places
• Communicate accurately with co-workers and team members
• Submit daily document reports
• Provide reports/data/documentation in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Email
• Follow company policies and programs (Safety, HAACP, GMP, SQF)
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Change like components
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years' experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of plant production machinery preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
• Ability to use hand and power tools correctly and safely
• Ability to operate shop equipment (welders, lathes, grinders, mills) safely and accurately
• Ability to retain and recall detailed technical information
• Ability to interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits
• Basic electrical training or equivalent experience for basic electrical troubleshooting
• Forklift Operator Certification
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide
• Ability to read a ruler and tape measure in Metric and English units
• Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to troubleshoot problems involving several variables
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to deal with a changing work environment and high-pressure situations
• Ability to pass Powered Industrial Equipment physical
• Ability to successfully complete licensing requirements
• Ability to pass Electrical Aptitude, PLC and Controls Aptitude, Mechanical Aptitude, and Work Keys Testing
