Maintenance Technician

• Maintains plant equipment by interpreting shop manuals and schematic drawings
• Responsible for maintaining plants boilers, hot water systems, HVAC, refrigeration, chiller systems, fire protection, and building repairs
• Submits daily document reports
• Provide reports and/or data and documentation in various programs
• Follow company policies and programs
• Other Duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years' experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of plant production machinery preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
• Ability to use hand and power tools correctly and safely
• Ability to operate shop equipment such as welders, lathes, grinders, and mills safely and accurately
• Ability to retain and recall detailed technical information
• Ability to perform precise measurements and tests
• Ability to interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to work in temperature extremes and high places, climbing ladder, scissor lifts, WAV lifts
• Ability to work in flour/ingredient dust
• Ability to communicate accurately with co-workers and team members
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, SAP, E-mail)
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to follow company policies (Safety, HAACP, GMP, SQF)
• Electrical troubleshooting skill sets, use multi meter, change like components
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to write simple correspondence and memoranda
• Ability to communicate with respect to all levels
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Ability to read a ruler and tape measure using Metric and English units
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to troubleshoot problems involving several variables
• Forklift Operator Certification
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to use hands, fingers and arms to reach, feel product and manipulate materials
• Ability to walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
• Ability to use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push/pull heavy loads up to 1500 pounds
• Ability to deal with a changing work environment and high-pressure situations
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good attendance and punctuality required
