Maintenance Technician

• Lead other service technicians
• Design solutions for difficult problems
• Manage outside contractors
• Be on call for emergencies
• Handle multiple projects and daily activities
• Meet time lines
• Develop plans on how to accomplish departmental and operation goals
• Perform all duties (repair, corrective, projects and PM’s) in an urgent, but safe manner
• Develop and recommend changes to proactive programs to increase machine uptime
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components
• Troubleshoot PLC ladder logic
• Mentor junior technicians
• Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization
• Complete all safety training as assigned
• Perform additional duties/assignments as required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two year Technical Mechtonics degree preferred
• Six years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment as a maintenance technician
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be able to comply with the Meritor Drug and Alcohol policy
• Intermediate computer knowledge, at an intermediate level in working with Microsoft Windows to include: Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work all days and shifts, including overtime (10 hours a day, 4 days a week operation, including holidays)
• Ability to work under pressure with time constraints
