As a Maintenance Technician on our second shift, you'll ensure the continuous operation of manufacturing equipment through troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance. You'll interpret blueprints and electrical schematics, work with various tools and testing equipment, and collaborate with facility teams to minimize downtime. You'll apply your technical knowledge to resolve mechanical and electrical issues while maintaining safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices. Using CMMS software to receive and complete work orders on a day-to-day basis. Complete PM's in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the continuous operation of manufacturing equipment through troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance
Interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
Work with various tools and testing equipment
Collaborate with facility teams to minimize downtime
Apply technical knowledge to resolve mechanical and electrical issues while maintaining safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices
Use CMMS software to receive and complete work orders
Complete PM's in a timely and efficient manner
Complete work orders and PM's as scheduled
Reading and interpreting detailed blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment
Troubleshoots basic AC and DC components (Ex: relays, motors, sensors)
Using various testing equipment (multimeters, clamp-on current meters, meggers) to diagnose problems
Operating tools such as portable saws, shears, brake, punch press, and drill press
Responding quickly to machine breakdowns and implementing effective repairs
Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on facility equipment
Coordinating maintenance activities with production personnel to minimize disruption
Identifying opportunities for improving machine performance
Following all safety protocols and cGMP guidelines
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
At least 2 years of manufacturing plant maintenance experience
Knowledge across multiple trades: construction, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, plumbing, and machine shop skills
Understanding basic mathematics
Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Knowledge of shop safety practices including handling of potentially dangerous equipment
Physical ability to: stand for 8-12 hours, sit for 2-4 hours, twist at waist, regularly lift 20 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and navigate catwalks
Good communication skills
Nice to have:
Working knowledge of electromechanical systems
Experience with preventative maintenance programs
Ability to make recommendations for equipment improvements
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude
