Job Description

Looking for a Maintenance technician for a company in Calgary. Monday to Friday, 7:00-3:30pm, $30-$35 per hour. Weekends as needed for preventative maintenance.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes, valves, VFDs, chain drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and small motors
  • Conduct inspections, address equipment failures, and ensure equipment is safe and operational
  • Use CMMS to track and document maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with internal protocols
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics for precise assembly, alignment, and integration of machinery
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, coordinating with vendors and internal teams
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records, prepare reports, and communicate repair status to minimize production disruptions
  • Uphold safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong mechanical background with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams to maximize machine uptime and support continuous improvement
  • Welding experience or a bachelor of mechanical engineering (from other countries)
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Candidates can either have experience as a millwright
  • Welder with millwright experience or industrial experience fixing conveyors, equipment etc
  • Experience from another country must hold a Bachelor of Mechanical engineering if using out of country experience and have experience fixing machines and doing other maintenance
  • Must be located in Calgary
