Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, responsible for the efficient operation of the facility maintenance in support of the Distribution / Customer Fulfillment Center.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assume major responsibility for the maintenance of material handling equipment
  • Adhere to the maintenance schedule and operating procedures for material handling equipment
  • Perform audits related to the integrity and condition of equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in all material handling equipment storage and maintenance locations within the fulfilment unit
  • Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to interpret and understand maintenance manuals and electrical equipment schematics
  • Ability to partner and support third party vendors while onsite
  • Strong communication skills
  • Industrial equipment mechanics
  • Skilled trade(s)
  • Ability to lift, sit, stand, and walk for length of shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
