Maintenance Technician

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests
• Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
• Carry equipment
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
• Communicate each day’s activities and problems to the other shifts
• Display knowledge or learn air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building
• Perform surface preparation, painting, drywall repair, light bulb replacement, A/C filter replacement, and area cleanup
• Test, troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system
• Perform repairs on landscaping and external sprinklers
• Display basic computer skills
• Follow safety and security policies and procedures
• Report maintenance issues
• Complete safety training and certifications
• Store flammable materials properly
• Ensure professional appearance
• Anticipate and address guest service needs
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards
• Maintain positive working relationships and teamwork
• Speak professionally
• Perform physical tasks including lifting and moving objects
• Use computers for work information
• Perform other duties as requested

• High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
• Driver’s License
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
