The Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance and repair work to ensure all building systems, equipment, and facilities at Dellshire Resort operate safely, efficiently, and in excellent condition. This position requires a working knowledge of multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by responding promptly to maintenance requests and upholding the resort’s high standards of quality and service.
Job Responsibility:
Perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
Respond promptly to guest room and public area maintenance requests, ensuring timely and professional resolution
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and resort facilities to identify and address maintenance needs
Assist with troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration systems, lighting, pumps, motors, and other mechanical components
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed through maintenance management systems (MMS or CMMS)
Support implementation of preventive maintenance programs and scheduled inspections
Collaborate with Engineering team members to complete projects and work orders efficiently
Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and brand standards across all maintenance activities
Assist with snow removal, landscaping support, and seasonal projects as needed
Respond to emergency situations such as power outages, leaks, or system malfunctions with urgency and professionalism
Maintain the workshop, equipment, and tools in clean and safe condition
Support capital project work and installations under the direction of the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
technical or trade school training preferred
Minimum 2–4 years of general maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel, resort, or commercial property
Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical operations
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Familiarity with work order systems and preventive maintenance programs
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
EPA or related technical certification preferred (HVAC, electrical, or plumbing)
