We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician. In this position, you are part of a highly skilled team that is critical in supporting production and ensuring equipment is operational to consistently meet production goals and our customers' needs. This position requires an understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and steam systems. Qualified candidates must be able to read and interpret drawings and blueprints proficiently and make necessary modifications. This position is night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Initial training will take place during the day from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, determine the problem, and implement the repair
Plan, layout, and perform all required operations to install, maintain and repair a wide variety of plant equipment and accessories
Effectively troubleshoot using manuals, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose and eliminate problems as they arise
Safely install, maintain, and upgrade 3-phase motor control systems, and AC/DC circuits, possess an understanding of basic relay logic
Understand fluid power systems
troubleshoot, install, and repair power units, valve operation, cylinders, motors, pumps
Perform basic fabrication by cutting and welding operations
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment using standard practices and procedures
Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
Follow all company and equipment safety guidelines and ethics rules
Maintain lift truck operator’s license, main lift, and other material handling equipment
Requirements:
General HS Diploma / GED
At least four (4) years of experience in industrial mechanical or electrical is required
Strong electrical proficiency
Mechanical aptitude in complex mechanical assemblies including precision measurements
Able to read and interpret blueprints
Knowledge of conventional welding and industrial equipment operations
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Basic computer skills to maintain records, work history, and inventory of parts
Ability to utilize meters, gauges, or other types of test equipment to facilitate quality and timely repairs
