Requirements

Relevant industry experience, preferably in malting/milling or heavy industrial environments involving large capacity grain/cereal handling, conveying, elevating, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
Mechanical skills and knowledge
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out/Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space, ATEX/DSEAR, etc.
Shift work experience, preferably 12-hour continental shifts
Ability to work independently within a small shift team (1 x electrical, 1 x mechanical)
Ability to provide basic hand tools

Job Responsibility

Perform corrective and preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance
Repair production, processing, and utility-related equipment
Support the installation of new equipment
Document all repairs and maintenance activities
Maintain a clean, orderly, and neat work area
Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly
Participate in the BOPEX (continuous improvement) program
Comply with all applicable procedures, regulations, and policies
Report and stop unsafe operations, using mandatory PPE as defined
Offer flexibility in working hours based on business needs, including on-call work outside regular hours

Requirements

A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is essential
F-Gas Certificate (desirable)
Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, with proficiency in maintaining the systems listed
Proactive problem-solver with exceptional fault-finding skills
Flexible attitude and the ability to work occasional nights and weekends for shift cover
Excellent communicator, capable of liaising professionally with colleagues and other contractors

Job Responsibility

PPMs & Reactive Maintenance: responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs on a wide range of essential mechanical plant and equipment
HVAC Systems: proficient in the service and maintenance of HVAC systems, including AHUs (Air Handling Units) and FCUs (Fan Coil Units)
Chillers & Cooling Towers: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on chiller units and cooling towers
Data Rooms: competent in maintaining cooling and ventilation systems within critical data rooms
Pumps: Service and maintain a variety of pumps (heating, chilled, and booster) and associated pipework
General Building Services: Carry out a wide range of general building services and fabric maintenance, including basic plumbing, minor electrical fault-finding, and general repairs
Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific policies
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities and inspections on a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Requirements

Hold a vocational diploma (DEP) in electromechanics, industrial mechanics, or equivalent
Work well independently and as part of a team
Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Can read and interpret schematics and technical documents
Have knowledge of Maximo (CMMS system) – considered an asset
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Prioritize Health & Safety in all planning and execution decisions

Job Responsibility

Install or replace mechanical equipment as needed
Provide necessary connections for machines and equipment
Test, diagnose, repair, or replace faulty mechanical equipment
Actively participate in continuous improvement of the plant
Quickly inform relevant personnel in case of issues or anomalies
Keep records up to date (required spare parts, completed work, etc.)
Have good knowledge of control equipment (control valves, positioners, differential pressure transmitters, electromagnetic meters, temperature transmitters, etc.)
Participate in planned production shutdowns for mechanical equipment
