Maintenance Technician Lead - Pellet Mills Job at Dansons (Columbus)

Job Description

Work independently supporting maintenance needs of semi-complex, automated manufacturing equipment. Maintains a high level of knowledge of the manufacturing processes and equipment to provide support in all areas. May assist on the design and development of new equipment or processes.

Job Responsibility

Independently troubleshoot semi-complex, automated equipment
Support and perform planned maintenance activities
Continue to learn complex equipment
Work with engineers during building and installation of new equipment
Responsible for knowing and following all safety and compliance requirements
Perform equipment failure analysis
Technically identify and support process optimization
Support equipment validation activities
Perform written documentation and regulatory recordkeeping
Enters data and activity for tracking purposes
May be required to perform other maintenance duties and/or lead special projects
May be required to work on other shifts and/or be on call as needed
Other duties as deemed necessary

Requirements

High school diploma or completion of GED equivalent
Three (3) years of practical experience performing maintenance on semi-complex manufacturing equipment
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers
Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
Strong Welding and other Fabrication skills
Knowledge of HVAC and other refrigerated/gas fired types of equipment
MHE knowledge and ability to make repairs
Construction minded
Time management skills
Strong troubleshooting and project management skills
Computer skills and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to continuously broaden knowledge and scope
Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical drawings
Ability to modify or develop control logic
Ability to train less experienced team members
Ability to work effectively and professionally
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness

Nice to have

Associates degree or completion of equivalent technical/trade school
Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in fabrication
