Maintenance Technician II

• Performs a broader range of duties, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, demonstrates a higher degree of independence, and may occasionally provide technical direction to less experienced maintenance staff
• Provides equipment maintenance, interventions, and repairs, and conducts preventive machinery maintenance
• Performs intermediate level troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
• Provides Operators with support around machine overall equipment reliability
• May assist in troubleshooting equipment set up and production changeovers
• Responds to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
• Recognizes and reports unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations
• Maintains work records and prepares clear and concise oral and written reports
• Understands and follows all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds the standards
• Utilizes appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards
• Learns and observe all safety precautions as required by Perdue
• Works all required work schedules
• Day travel to nearby locations sometimes required

• High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience
• 3-5 Years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or Equivalent military experience
• Intermediate Proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging
• Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise
• Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)
• Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus
• Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations

2-yr Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance
