Job Description:

This role involves responding to and addressing guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance on various equipment, communicating issues and activities to team members, troubleshooting and repairing systems and equipment, adhering to safety procedures, and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues. Candidates should be proficient in maintenance tasks, able to lift heavy objects, and adapt to various technical and physical demands.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
Carry equipment
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
Replace light bulbs and A/C filters
Test, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items
Program TV and perform engineering-related inventory duties
Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping
Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance problems and hazards
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
Move, lift, carry, push objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Use computers to locate work-related information

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
Driver’s license
Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance

Nice to have:

Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
