Job Responsibility:
Assist with maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections
Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
May assist in managing the machines’ performance by doing equipment set up and production changeovers
Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
Maintain work records and prepare clear and concise oral and written reports
Understand and follow all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds the standards
Collaborate well with production associates to solve problems with reliability and urgency
Recognize and report unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations
Utilize appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards
Work all required work schedules
Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required
This position will be responsible for weekly overnight travel to assist our local facilities in North Carolina and Virginia
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience
0-3 Years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or Equivalent Military Experience
Beginner proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging
Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
Nice to have:
2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance
