Job Responsibility

  • Assist with maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
  • May assist in managing the machines’ performance by doing equipment set up and production changeovers
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Maintain work records and prepare clear and concise oral and written reports
  • Understand and follow all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds the standards
  • Collaborate well with production associates to solve problems with reliability and urgency
  • Recognize and report unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations
  • Utilize appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards
  • Work all required work schedules
  • Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required
  • This position will be responsible for weekly overnight travel to assist our local facilities in North Carolina and Virginia

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience
  • 0-3 Years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or Equivalent Military Experience
  • Beginner proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging
  • Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing

Nice to have

2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance
