As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll provide site-based engineering support to maximise uptime and performance of automated equipment. This is a fast-paced environment where strong fault-finding, ownership, and consistent delivery directly impact site performance. Working as part of the shift engineering team, you’ll be trusted to respond to issues quickly, make decisions under pressure, and deliver high-quality fixes—while being supported by experienced engineers and leaders who are invested in your development.
Job Responsibility
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across automated systems including conveyors, sorters, shuttles and robotics
Diagnose and resolve faults using a structured, high-quality approach
Respond to breakdowns in real time, prioritising issues based on operational impact and uptime
Support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of equipment and controls
Maintain accurate records using CMMS and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Work closely with the wider engineering team to solve problems and share knowledge
Requirements
Recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, ONC or equivalent)
Experience working with automated or production-based systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Basic understanding of control systems (e.g. PLCs)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work at pace in a high-volume environment
