As a Maintenance Electrical Technician, you will be a key member of the Services team, reporting directly to the Rollingstock Supervisor. Your primary mission is to service, maintain, and overhaul rolling stock and infrastructure equipment. Initially, this is a day-shift role, though it may transition to night shifts in the future. Must be living in Australia with full working rights to apply for this role.
Job Responsibility:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting, investigation, and repair of the train fleet and depot infrastructure
Support fleet check activities and secondary level fault finding
Adhere to Quality Systems, standard operating sheets, and safety regulations (EHS)
Use IT systems (such as MMIS/SES) to accurately record work progress and complete work orders
Proactively suggest recommendations for productivity improvements
Maintain 5S standards across all work areas.
Requirements:
Cert III in Electrotechnology
Electrician License (NSW)
Australian Driving License
Proven ability in fault finding and reading schematic diagrams
IT literate with the ability to adapt to new technologies and tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative 'Team Trust Action' mindset with the ability to work under your own initiative
Flexibility to be trained in additional skills, such as forklift operation or working at heights.
