As a Maintenance Technician Class C (Multi-Craft) you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems which include processing, packaging, and BUS (batching, unloading, slurry). You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our maintenance work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance. *Position work schedule is 6:00 pm - 6:00am.*
Job Responsibility:
Remain proficient with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial electrical control systems, electromechanical systems, and fluid power
Understand how automated equipment and its components work
utilize knowledge of PLC programming to troubleshoot production equipment without modifying programming
Properly use mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments
Work independently and collaboratively to maintain equipment and solve technical problems
Operate forklift to move equipment or parts as needed
Remain proficient at utilizing computerized maintenance management systems and other digital tools
Utilize basic rigging, mechanical practices, pipefitting, and welding skills in an industrial environment
Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed
Perform all tasks with safety and food safety best practices
Utilize knowledge and skills to train other employees.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
3+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment.
