Job Description:

Experienced Maintenance Technician responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment in the production lab.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preventative Maintenance on equipment, maintaining PM checklists
  • Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time
  • Servicing CNC Edgers and Generators: cleaning, performing routine tasks, changing or fixing parts and recalibrating
  • Maintaining Edgers and Blockers: keep filters and components clean, change cutters, checks for prism and axis
  • Servicing other equipment and systems in the lab
  • Follow all safety rules, "Lock out / Tag out" procedures and utilize PPE if required
  • Guides junior technicians in maintenance department duties and other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years previous experience in industrial maintenance, diagnosis and repair (electro/mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, servo drives, HVAC, etc.)
  • Experience in manufacturing and optical industry desirable
  • No specific education is required
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Requires accuracy, some mental effort and occasional organization and planning
