We, Business Unit (BU) Specialized, belong to the Tube Division within Alleima Group and are a world-leading producer and supplier of specialized tubular products for key growth markets, including Aerospace, Medical, and Hydrogen. Our products are corrosion-resistant alloys based on stainless steel, nickel, and titanium. We are now looking for a Maintenance Technician – Electrical Focus for our very promising Alleima Precision Tube site, based in Scottdale, PA, USA. We are a human-sized site with around 55 employees and specialize in producing high-precision stainless- and nickel-alloy tube products for various high-demand industries, including aerospace, transportation, nuclear, and petrochemical.
Job Responsibility
Assist in operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines
follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications
troubleshoot malfunctions with strong emphasis on electrical systems
locate sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation
troubleshoot and repair equipment focusing on electrical systems including 3-phase power and 120V–480V circuits
remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
maintain and troubleshoot DC drive systems, motors, and electrical controls
assist supervisor in controlling downtime by informing production workers of routine maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance
read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
assist in maintaining equipment and spare parts inventory
assist in conserving maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed
maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and lockout/tagout safety practices
contribute to team effort
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
trade school degree preferred
previous industrial experience
hands-on experience with 3-phase power systems
hands-on experience with 120V–480V industrial electrical systems
hands-on experience with DC drive systems and motor controls
ability to safely work with and troubleshoot high- and low-voltage systems
strong understanding of electrical safety standards
experience with PLC troubleshooting preferred
experience in manufacturing environments preferred
must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
must be able to fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
