The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strong maintenance support for all equipment in the Memphis Global Logistics Center. This includes caring for equipment in every area of the facilities. This position ensures all systems and equipment are well maintained and ready to function throughout all facility operations.
Job Responsibility:
Provide strong maintenance support for all equipment in the Memphis Global Logistics Center
Ensure all systems and equipment are well maintained and ready to function
Deliver on-schedule PM completion
Continuous monitoring to detect and resolve issues
Provide a high level of troubleshooting expertise to repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, forklifts, and HVAC
Offer service on an urgent basis, including overtime, weekends, and during facility shutdowns
Become familiar with corporate specifications and facility SOPs
Observe all plant safety rules and instruct others in the accurate application of EHS
Foster innovation and continuous improvement
Work independently and closely with facility operations, engineering, and quality groups to resolve issues
Assist Sr. Field Service Technicians and Lead Maintenance Technicians with scheduling and timely PM completion
Out of town travel may be required
Lifting up to 100 pounds periodically
Walking and navigating through the facility
Experience with energy management, conservation and sustainability projects
Monitor assigned manufacturing lines and communicate with manufacturing to reduce down time
Review current PMs, verify parts are in stock and complete PMs on time
Build and rebuild machine assemblies
Communicate equipment issues and work status to supervision, manufacturing, and management
Initiate work orders using the Proteus CMMS system
Perform PM work and assign tasks related to the facility operations
Record in Proteus or another downtime tracking system any issues, breakdowns, or alarms
Share knowledge and train less experienced technicians
Learn to handle robots in all normal production modes, troubleshoot and identify problems related to robots, machine output and quality defects
Solicit help from Lead technicians and engineering assistance when needed
Perform all other duties as assigned

Maintain 100% on time completion of all required training.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience required
technical certifications a plus
Associates degree in a technical field or above a plus
7 years experience required
Ability to read & understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Develop strong troubleshooting skills.
Develop a good understanding of programmable logic controllers.
Must be capable of working independently, possess effective verbal and written communication skills, maintain clear documentation, have solid computer proficiency, focus on customer needs, and perform safely and efficiently under pressure.
Skilled in MS Word, MS Excel and Maximo or similar CMMS.
Desire to broaden knowledge and improve skill level is imperative.
