Job Description:

Summit Skilled Solutions seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician for a multi-family residential community. Ideal candidates will have strong plumbing experience along with general apartment maintenance knowledge including electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, and working independently while also being part of a team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Receive, prioritize, and complete service orders in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues including toilets, sinks, leaks, and clogs
  • Repair and replace household appliances including refrigerators, stoves, washers, and dryers
  • Perform minor electrical repairs including light fixtures and switches
  • Diagnose basic HVAC issues and perform minor maintenance repairs
  • Complete carpentry repairs including door hardware, shelving, hinges, and window repairs
  • Prepare vacant apartment units for new tenants
  • Maintain property grounds and assist with pool maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with residents, leasing staff, and property management
  • Participate in an on-call rotation every 3 weeks, including evenings and weekends

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of maintenance experience in a multi-family residential setting preferred
  • Strong plumbing experience is required
  • Basic HVAC troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of appliance repair, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, twist, push, and pull as needed
