Job Description:

Responsible for painting and providing a wide variety of Maintenance Repairs of the highest quality referred to as “Service Requests / Preventive Maintenance Request”. Responsible for the routine scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) of the mechanical equipment as assigned. This position requires extensive guest contact; the service and attitude must be of the highest standards, quality and professionalism. This position is empowered to exceed expectations and provide a solution to any challenge the guest may encounter doing their stay, which will promote return visits and build brand recognition. Responsible for responding to “House Calls” (internal request for services) with the same level of service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform “Guest Requests” as assigned
  • Respond to “Guest Requests” within 15 minutes / House Calls within 30 minutes
  • Perform “House Calls” as instructed
  • Track calls in HotSOS
  • Communicate completion criteria to dispatch
  • Perform routine scheduled PM’s on assigned guestrooms and public areas and document in HotSoS
  • Perform routine inspections and repairs on VIP rooms within a timely manner
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned shops, mechanical areas, tool carts and tools
  • Report any unsafe conditions to manager immediately
  • Support and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Conduct troubleshooting, programming and replacement of guestroom televisions and associated equipment
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance to plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, and facility as needed or assigned
  • Track all associated inventory and maintain established inventory level
  • Conduct walk throughs of hotel and surrounding grounds for lighting, quality, safety and general condition and complete any associated documentation

Requirements:

  • Must have basic painting skills that include but not limited to working with paint, stains, enamels, epoxies, and coatings
  • Must have basic skill for furniture repair and touch up
  • Must have working knowledge of installation and repair of wall covering
  • Must have working knowledge of drywall, drywall repair, mud and taping
  • At least 2 years in the hospitality or service industry preferred
  • High School graduate or Technical/Trade School preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have valid Driver’s license and meet resort driving standards
  • Must be able to drive guests safely in extreme weather conditions (rain, wind, fog)
  • Must understand the usage of hand tools and some power tools
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must be highly detailed orientated
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent listening and communication skills
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
