BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as Maintenance Team Leader at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate the activities of the team members including the assignment of tasks and maintenance objectives
Lead, motivate and support the development of team members
Train new members (safety rules in the operation of equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance)
Monitors the maintenance work carried out by the team
Monitors work carried out by external entities, whenever needed
Facilitate efficient and open communication within the department and with other departments in the organization
Conduct daily meetings with team members and facilitate communication between shifts with a focus on maintenance interventions and KPI's
Provide technical assistance to production equipment's on mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic equipment, programming, robotics
Technically assist the reception of new equipment (validation, installation and start-up)
Diagnose the causes of defects and take the necessary corrective actions
Participate in problem solving activities
Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards
Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service
Requirements
Academic Background in Mechanics, electromechanics, electronics, electrical, industrial maintenance, automation, programming, robotics or similar
Previous experience in a similar role will be valued
Solid knowledge of the operation of machines (mechanics, pneumatics, electronics, electricity, test equipment)
Interpretation of mechanical, pneumatics and electrical schematics
Knowledge in maintenance metrics (MTTR, MTBF, Down Time, Availability)
