Oversee and coordinate all repairs, maintenance, and grounds operations across multiple large retirement housing communities. Lead and support the maintenance team to ensure buildings and systems operate safely and efficiently. Maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-kept environment for residents through strong leadership and solid knowledge of building systems.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, support, and develop maintenance teams across multiple complex sites
Carry out minor repairs where appropriate
Actively engage with residents through meetings, forums, and consultations to resolve maintenance concerns
Work in partnership with Regional Building Surveyors to deliver KPIs and performance targets
Carry out routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities
Coordinate and oversee external contractors
Respond effectively to emergency situations
Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and asset histories
Foster a collaborative, resident-focused approach and promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in large, complex building maintenance
2+ years in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
Proactive, solutions-focused, and responsive to changing priorities and emergencies
Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping and documentation skills
