Job Description

Under the direction of the Lis Location Manager and in coordination with the Construction & Maintenance Area Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent oversees and performs all maintenance activities at the Lis, IL elevator.

Job Responsibility

  • Schedule daily/weekly work activities for all maintenance at the elevator
  • Works with the safety manager & location manager to ensure that all safety-related equipment is installed, works correctly, and is being used correctly in accordance with our safety guidelines
  • Works with location manager to ensure that all material handling equipment is being serviced and maintained on a regular basis
  • Communicates with and works with the TGM internal millwright and electrical teams as needed
  • Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees
  • Analyze operating procedures and material handling flow at elevator and recommend changes to enhance and improve operational efficiencies
  • Implement maintenance schedule to ensure compliance with all OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Work closely with the location manager to promote teamwork at the location as well as assist and share assets between locations if necessary
  • Assist with operational activities within the elevator as needed
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant
  • Ability to travel independently and overnight
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • Normally requires 3-5+ years’ maintenance experience
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s CDL license and satisfactory driving record.
