The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facilities to support safe, reliable daily operations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting production flow, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, torch cutting machinery, and steel-cutting band saws
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
Respond to equipment issues in a timely and safe manner
Coordinate with outside contractors and maintain their safety while in the building
Support facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, carpentry, and repairs
Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed work
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, consumables, and repair parts
Follow all safety procedures and reinforce safe work practices during maintenance activities
Requirements:
Electrical troubleshooting skills (AC and DC systems)
Mechanical troubleshooting experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Ability to work independently and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
Basic computer skills for documentation, work orders, and recordkeeping
Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
Nice to have:
Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
Experience supporting material handling equipment and production machinery
Welding or fabrication experience
