Maintenance Senior Rotating specialist is responsible for leading all engineering and maintenance activities related to rotating machinery within a major LNG production environment. The role ensures technical integrity, equipment availability, safe operations, and continuous improvement across all rotating equipment assets. This includes leadership of specialist engineers, oversight of maintenance strategies, contractor management, and compliance with HSE and international standards.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the technical integrity and safe operation of all rotating equipment
Lead the Rotating Engineering Specialist Team
Provide expert guidance for all rotating maintenance operations
Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and implement engineering improvements
Review and optimise preventive maintenance plans and frequencies
Provide reliability support to Maintenance & Reliability teams
Oversee documentation, procedures, safety manuals, and ensure proper archiving
Validate and approve maintenance procedures

Ensure quality control throughout all maintenance execution activities
Supervise and coordinate scheduling of all rotating-related work requests
Prepare and review monthly KPIs covering preventive/corrective maintenance, performance, cost, and budgeting
Ensure adequate spare parts availability, conduct stock reviews, and prepare financial justifications
Ensure backup and archival of all rotating equipment control system configurations
Manage rotating equipment activities carried out by contractors and vendors
Ensure contractor compliance with scope, quality, safety, and performance standards
Contribute to development of technical scopes for new contracts
Participate in vendor pre-qualification and technical reviews
Oversee specialist service providers for rotating machinery
Identify and implement improvements in safety, reliability, efficiency, and compliance
Initiate technical modifications and oversee implementation
Work closely with Condition Monitoring teams to determine intervention timelines
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of rotating/mechanical equipment in the oil, gas, and LNG sectors
Strong expertise with GE Frame 7 Gas Turbines, large compressors, expanders, pumps, LNG loading arms, and hydraulic systems
Excellent understanding of international engineering codes and standards
Proficient with SAP/CMMS maintenance systems
Bachelor’s degree in Rotating or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent international technical qualification)
Minimum 20 years maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical environments
Minimum 10 years experience in LNG production plants (not LNG import terminals)
Extensive experience with gas turbines and large compressors
