Morson are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) to join the reliability maintenance engineering team at Safran in Burnley. This is an initial 6-month contract supporting a complex, safety-critical aerospace manufacturing environment. Working as part of a site-based reliability team, you will support onsite production by delivering both planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown support across a range of manufacturing equipment. You will be expected to work proactively, using structured fault-finding techniques to resolve issues safely and effectively, while also identifying opportunities to reduce repeat failures and improve overall equipment reliability.
Job Responsibility:
Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance activities
Responding to machine breakdowns and applying safe fault-finding and repair techniques
Proactively identifying root causes and proposing reliability improvements
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function
Reporting findings in a clear, structured, and professional manner to the customer
Requirements:
Time-served apprenticeship in a maintenance engineering discipline
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematic drawings
Electrical or mechanical bias, with a good all-round skillset
Comfortable working within a regulated manufacturing environment
