The Maintenance Project Coordinator - Temporary will support a maintenance asset management initiative by identifying, labeling, and tagging electrical and mechanical assets across site locations. This role is also responsible for collecting, validating, and entering asset data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Facility FitPro (FFP), to support regulatory compliance, asset lifecycle planning, and preventive maintenance programs.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct on-site asset inventories by locating equipment, verifying identifiers, and collecting manufacturer, model, serial number, and basic condition information
Apply and document asset tags and labels in accordance with established project and site standards for both electrical and mechanical equipment
Create, update, and maintain asset records in Facility FitPro (FFP), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all required fields
Enter detailed asset information into FFP, including asset name, location, equipment type/category, manufacturer, model, serial number, capacity or ratings, installation date (when available), condition notes, and photographs
Follow standardized naming conventions and asset hierarchy/location structures
Perform data quality reviews in FFP to identify duplicates, missing information, incorrect locations, and other discrepancies, and collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve issues
Capture clear, high-quality photos of equipment and attach them to asset records as required
Provide regular progress updates, including assets tagged, assets entered or validated in FFP, areas completed, and any identified risks or issues
Assist with basic documentation activities, such as tagging standards, field definitions, and simple how-to guides to support ongoing asset data maintenance
Requirements:
College/University degree or technical college diploma
Degree in an engineering or environmental discipline is preferred
Related experience in working independently and meeting project deliverables on time and budget
Comfortable working in mechanical/electrical environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standards and naming conventions
Basic understanding of common maintenance equipment is an asset
Able to walk the site for extended periods and carry light tools/supplies
Valid driver's license if travel between sites is required
Familiarity with CMMS/EAM tools is an asset
