About the Role Reporting to the Manger Engineering and Maintenance, this critical leadership role is responsible for maintenance planning, reliability and lifecycle asset management to ensure the safe and efficient ongoing operation of the mine’s infrastructure and equipment. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your leadership, knowledge and skills in establishing processes and standards around asset management, as well as offering a clear career path for future succession planning at Centurion. Duties will include: Oversee short, medium and long-term maintenance planning to optimise equipment availability and reliability. Ensure work management processes (notification, planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out) are executed in line with company standards and the Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulation. Coordinate shutdown planning to meet production, cost and safety objectives. Lead the development and implementation of reliability improvement strategies for mobile and fixed assets. Oversee defect elimination, root cause analysis (RCA), and condition monitoring programs. Drive initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment failures. Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements relating to maintenance and asset integrity. Communicate with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with mine objectives. Identify and manage risks to minimise impact on operations. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with site values and legislative requirements. About You: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or equivalent trade background with significant maintenance planning/reliability leadership experience. Wealth of experience in mining and plant environments, ideally in underground. Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in maintenance, planning or reliability roles, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector. Strong knowledge of Queensland mining legislation, asset management frameworks, and maintenance strategies. Proficiency in SAP and reliability analysis tools. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Safety-focused with a practical, hands-on approach. Confident managing teams, stakeholders, and contractor relationships in high-pressure environments.
