Job Responsibility:

  • Manage Preventive Maintenance Program at the plant level: Plan, schedule and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities
  • Assist with purchasing function of parts needed to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure CMMS software data files are complete and current
  • Manage a current back log of needed repairs
  • Supervise and directs the maintenance staff and provides on-site expertise
  • Plan major equipment outage schedules utilizing MS Project
  • Develop cost estimates for major jobs and track actual vs. budgeted spending
  • Develop 1 year and 3-year major equipment outage plans
  • Identify, analyze and review maintenance problems with management
  • Post daily, weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators and trends
  • Report on Performance versus goals
  • Close out work orders daily and input actual hours
  • Order parts and plant consumables in a timely manner
  • Assist the maintenance manager with vendor management
  • Receive, inspect, count verify incoming materials
  • Maintain organization within the storeroom and maintenance shop
  • Rotate electric motors shafts on a quarterly base
  • Participate in daily goods issues, MRP, cycle count and creation of work orders
  • Coordinate delivery of materials for maintenance work orders
  • Participate, control and track repairs for reconditioned stock items
  • Handle gas cylinders empty and full
  • Repair and maintain storeroom equipment
  • Ensure a SQF workplace and follow regulatory compliance
  • Support Environmental Health and Safety, as well as SQF initiatives and awareness programs
  • Be a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture
  • Complete periodic SQF training(s)

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of industrial experience in a maintenance planner and/or storeroom role or similar function
  • Knowledge and application in the management of maintenance labor / equipment data and use of the CMMS system
  • Good organization, time management, communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Previous Maintenance experience and knowledge of industrial equipment
  • Must be physically able to perform work assigned
  • Must be physically capable of accessing all plant/quarry locations
  • Ability to occasionally lift/carry 50 pounds

Nice to have:

  • Formal training in the maintenance planning and scheduling function
  • SAP and MS Project experience
  • Maintenance supervisory experience
  • Some advanced training and/or college coursework directed toward an approved accredited degree
