As a Maintenance Person you are responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the business by maintaining our fleet or accommodation units, welfare facilities and other products. Your role is crucial in ensuring that equipment is ready for hire in a timely manner, contributing to excellent customer service and the overall success of Nixon Hire.
Job Responsibility
Carrying out general maintenance and refurbishment of site accommodation units, welfare units/vans, economically and efficiently
Inform your supervisor of any issues/repair work relating to damage so that it can be recorded and charged out appropriately
Inform your supervisor regards stock levels of timber/lino/boarding etc so they can be maintained
Maintain and repair all accommodation and welfare units to a high standard, fitting sink units, internal partition kits, replacing wall boards, minor plumbing and electrical work
Salvage where possible any sink units and plumbing materials/partition kits that are taken out of units after their hire
Carrying out painting on accommodation units (training will be given)
Ensuring tools and equipment are adequately maintained and cleaned, tested before use, and securely stored after use
Cleaning of accommodation units/vans.
Requirements
History in working within the same industry is desirable
Fork truck license but not essential as training is provided
MPBA testing qualification but not essential as after probation period full training can be arranged
Good physical health is required as this can be a physically demanding role at times
Flexible in your approach to work, able to work reasonable overtime if required, and adhere to all health & safety practice.
