We are now looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team in L’Aquila and help maintain a safe, high-quality and welcoming environment for our residents. This is a hands-on and varied role where no two days are the same. You will play a key part in ensuring the property is maintained to a high standard, responding to maintenance requests efficiently and supporting the overall student experience within the residence. Job Responsibility
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the property
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and reported faults
Support statutory compliance and routine maintenance inspections
Undertake general repairs and minor maintenance works
Monitor the condition and presentation of the building and communal areas
Support contractor management and ensure permits and sign-in procedures are followed
Assist with fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks and health & safety procedures
Carry out basic plumbing, electrical and repair tasks where appropriate
Support student check-in and check-out activities
Assist with emergency response procedures and make-safe works where required
Maintain accurate maintenance records and helpdesk updates
Promote a safe, secure and positive living environment for residents
Requirements
Previous experience within maintenance, facilities, property, hospitality or residential environments
Practical maintenance skills and a proactive attitude
Good understanding of health and safety practices
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication and customer service skills
Flexible and reliable approach to work
Basic IT skills and confidence using systems and reporting tools
Availability to work weekends or participate in call-out rotas where required
