Maintenance Operative

• Maintaining general appearance and tidiness of external and internal areas
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks regularly
• Carry out basic carpentry fixes such as fitting doors and fire door adjustments
• Carry out basic plumbing tasks such as repairing leaks and changing taps
• Complete regular inspections of building and reporting any issues to the Facilities Manager
• Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair or maintenance job
• Deliver projects from start to finish which can vary from small maintenance through to full office refurbishments projects
• Overseeing various trades and contractors whilst on site
• Monitor the building's security, including locking/unlocking doors and ensuring access control
• Complete general maintenance tasks across the offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and common areas
• General duties such as painting, changing light bulbs, replacing air filters and minor repairs
• Assist with the maintenance of external areas, including car parks, walkways, and landscaped areas
• Ensure all safety and emergency equipment (fire alarms, extinguishers, exit signs, etc.) is in good working order
• Daily checks and the topping up of supplies when required such a refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels)

• A full driving licence is essential, and you must be 25 or over due to insurance
• You will need previous experience in a Caretaker / Handy Person role
• Ideally you will have basic experience of plumbing and carpentry
• You will be required to travel to two additional sites outside of Kent once a month
• You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS processed for this role due to the nature of the company
