Maintenance operative

• making sure our Residents live in a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times
• carry out audits and make sure records are kept up to date
• replacing a tap or mixer valve
• fitting a new extractor fan
• repairing the timber on a bedroom window
• putting up new wallpaper in the dining room

• solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping
• technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• ideally some IT skills
• ability to be truly considerate and kind when communicating with a resident or co-worker
• ability to recognise signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are any concerns
• willingness to attend safeguarding training appropriate to role and undertake additional training in associated areas
• ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken
