We are looking to hire a part time (24 hours) Maintenance Operative on a 6 month FTC. This role is primarily weekend working, with the hours split between Saturday and Sunday.
Job Responsibility:
Be the go-to person for keeping our spaces looking sharp
Take charge of planned and reactive maintenance
Keep the buildings and grounds looking superb
Handle customer raised maintenance tasks
Ensure all statutory compliance is covered across your sites
Handle emergencies efficiently
Keep great working relationships with contractors
Manage costs for materials and maintenance equipment
Keep maintenance stock levels in line with the needs of the business
Engage with local communities through volunteer work
Participate in charity events
Promote recycling, energy saving and other eco-friendly practices
Be a champion for positive social and environmental change
Create a home from home community for students
Support with operational audits
Handle complaints efficiently and escalate where necessary.
Requirements:
Experienced in facilities management in multiple sites, preferably in PBSA, hospitality or leisure
Plumbing, electrical or building qualifications, or proven skills in a similar field
A problem-solving mindset with a collaborative approach
Adaptability, energy and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
