Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,695 – £31,247 per annum.
Job Responsibility
Ensuring that our buildings and grounds are safe, well maintained and welcoming for our children, families, staff, volunteers and supporters
Working positively as part of a small, supportive Facilities team, carrying out a variety of tasks to support the effective management of our buildings
Ensuring repairs, maintenance and mandatory testing are completed safely, effectively and within agreed timescales
Using practical skills and problem-solving ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues
Contributing to record keeping and compliance processes
Experience in areas such as electrical and plumbing installations is helpful
Requirements
Has a range of practical building or maintenance skills (or relevant transferable experience)
Can manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
Holds a valid full driving licence
Is flexible in their approach to working hours
Is reliable and takes pride in maintaining high standards
Can meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and carrying equipment (up to 22kg)
