This is a critical role for a 'proactive fixer' who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in ensuring equipment reliability and operational excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Preventative Maintenance on pumps, seals, motors, and conveyors
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Work daily with plant engineers, electricians, and operators
Interpret technical drawings to assemble, align, and adjust machinery
Respond to equipment breakdowns
Maintain accurate maintenance records within the CMMS
Requirements:
Valid Alberta Journeyman Millwright Certificate or registered 3rd/4th Year Apprentice
Proven experience maintaining equipment in a heavy industrial or plant environment
A 'zero-harm' commitment and the ability to pass a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol test
Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating day/night continental schedule
Strong problem-solving skills and basic computer literacy for record-keeping
