Maintenance Millwright $43.72 - $45.92 per hour - Winnipeg, MB. Are you a ticketed Millwright who enjoys the technical variety of a high-speed food processing environment? Do you have a strong background in troubleshooting power transmission, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems? Are you looking for a stable, permanent night shift role with a Monday-to-Friday schedule and a global industry leader? Do you take pride in maintaining critical utility services and ensuring zero-harm safety standards? If so, we would love to hear from you! Our client, a household name in the dairy industry is looking for a versatile Maintenance Millwright for their Winnipeg facility. This is a Jack of all Trades role designed for a mechanic who excels at ensuring day-to-day operations remain efficient, from specialized packaging machinery to wastewater treatment systems. As a Maintenance Millwright, you will be the backbone of the night shift operations, ensuring the facility is ready to meet production targets through high-quality repairs and proactive maintenance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair specialized dairy processing, packaging, and material handling equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures using root cause analysis
  • Monitor and maintain essential utility service equipment and wastewater treatment systems
  • Adhere to strict Food Safety (GMP) protocols and Workplace Safety standards to ensure a zero-harm environment
  • Use SAP Mobile Maintenance/CMMS to accurately log work orders and maintenance activities
  • Support 5S initiatives and recommend best practices to improve plant reliability and shop organization

Requirements:

  • Valid Manitoba Journeyman Millwright Certificate (Red Seal Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial plant (Food & Beverage experience is a significant asset)
  • Strong knowledge of gearboxes, pumps, welding, and reading mechanical/schematic drawings
  • Ability to work independently on the night shift while collaborating effectively with the broader production team
  • Must be able to work the 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM shift and occasional weekend overtime
