Job Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic responsible for keeping our facilities operating smoothly and safely. This role combines hands-on technical work with preventive maintenance, ensuring our clients enjoy optimal building conditions and uninterrupted operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performing preventive maintenance and responding to repair work orders across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Conducting facility inspections and report on conditions that could impact client operations
  • Interior maintenance tasks like hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture
  • Assisting the operations team with building and equipment maintenance
  • Moving office furniture and equipment as needed
  • Replacing lighting and ballasts
  • Maintaining HVAC systems by cleaning coils and changing filters and belts
  • Completing hazard assessments
  • Maintaining clean and safe work areas
  • Staying current with all required safety training
  • Submitting daily P-card receipts
  • Updating work order status in real-time using CMMS systems like 360 Facility
  • Performing vehicle safety inspections
  • Escalating issues to customers and management promptly
  • Attending required work and safety meetings

Requirements:

  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance tasks
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and escalation purposes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Commitment to following all safety procedures and protocols

Nice to have:

  • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or building operations
  • Experience with CMMS systems, particularly 360 Facility or similar platforms
  • Technical certification or trade school training in relevant disciplines
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems maintenance and repair
  • Experience working in commercial office environments
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
  • Previous experience with preventive maintenance programs
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Customer service experience in professional settings
  • Forklift or equipment operation certification
