Job Description:

We are currently searching for a qualified Maintenance Mechanic to work in The CVS Chemung Distribution Center. This position is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the electrical, pneumatic and mechanical/technical aspects of the building, machinery and equipment.

Job Responsibility:

Repairs and maintenance of the electrical, pneumatic and mechanical/technical aspects of the building, machinery and equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain a written or electronic log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage
Works with each department providing necessary support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved

Requirements:

Inspects equipment and diagnoses trouble or malfunctions
Work with sensors, VFDs, circuit boards, relays, limit switches, flow switches, trouble shoot motors & conveyors, PLC's
Perform Preventative Maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility
Works from blueprints, schematic drawings, sketches or layouts
Works with manufacturer technical support departments to troubleshoot system failures
Selects appropriate materials and operates equipment to complete work, including electrical hand tools and voltage or ampere measuring devices
Makes repairs to tools and equipment
Trouble shooting machinery
Install power, light and control circuits and conduit
Repairs, maintains, and installs minor and major electrical systems and fixtures
Moves, installs and adjusts fixtures, motors and other electrical / mechanical equipment
Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit
Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads
Tests electrical equipment for safety
Perform preventative maintenance service to machinery and equipment
