We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing team in Waterdown. This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a "team-first" environment and enjoys a technical mix of preventative maintenance, complex troubleshooting, and a balanced electrical-mechanical workload.
Job Responsibility:
Execute PMs, emergency breakdowns, and project work with a 50/50 split between mechanical and electrical tasks
Maintain and repair compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, vacuum pumps, dust collectors, pulverizing machines, rollers, and magnets
Work with PLC interfaces and HMIs for automated control
interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints for troubleshooting
Perform MIG/TIG welding for essential equipment repairs and maintenance
Work at heights using fall protection
operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely
Track and order inventory for projects
maintain precise quality and maintenance records via productivity software (SharePoint/Excel)
Requirements:
Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright license is required
Minimum of 5 years in a maintenance role within a manufacturing setting
Experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical manufacturing environments is highly preferred
Proficient in both Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting
comfortable with pneumatics and dust collection systems
Nice to have:

Base Hourly Rate: $48. + Shift Premiums
