We’re hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to join a fast-paced, modern glass manufacturing facility in Langley, BC—part of a respected industry leader known for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery to ensure smooth production. You’ll collaborate with both maintenance and production teams, contribute to safety and process improvements, and play a key role in equipment reliability.
Job Responsibility:
Read diagrams and schematics to determine repair or installation steps
Install and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
Inspect machinery for irregularities or malfunctions
Repair or replace defective parts and adjust machinery as needed
Fabricate parts using machine tools during setup or repairs
Ensure safety devices function properly after installations or repairs
Maintain and sharpen machine tools
Perform preventative maintenance and keep detailed service records
Clean and lubricate machinery regularly
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Solid mechanical foundation and confidence using basic tools (e.g., ratchets) without supervision
Experience with industrial machinery installation, adjustment, and repair
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems effectively
Working knowledge of CNC equipment, PLCs, VFDs, servos, and similar systems
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing
Experience with automation
electrical knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with CNC machines and PLCs are an asset
Hands-on experience with fans, motors, pumps, valves, hoists, compressors, cylinders, and conveyors
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable working independently and under tight deadlines
Safety-first mindset with knowledge of equipment safety standards
Flexibility to work various shifts when needed (e.g., vacation coverage)
Commitment to continuous improvement
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical tasks like reaching, kneeling, and standing for long periods
Must follow safety regulations and handle equipment and chemical hazards
Use of personal protective equipment provided
Prior maintenance experience is a requirement to be considered for an interview
You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

Red Seal Certification, Millwright certification
