Maintenance Mechanic

• Schedules and troubleshoots equipment maintenance and repairs in response to requests from staff and leadership
• Performs maintenance and repairs of various pumps, motors, pipes, bearings, and seals
• Troubleshoots equipment in the event of a breakdown to provide quick start up after failure
• Supports on-going plant project, including installation of new equipment and refurbishing of existing equipment. This also includes design and modifications to existing equipment
• Collaborates with Operations to minimize downtime and maximize plant reliability
• Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
• Performs all other duties as assigned

• Normally requires an associate degree in general maintenance or a related field and 5 years or more of related work experience
• Demonstrates essential abilities including installation and repair of mechanical systems (pumps, seals, and bearings), and ability to use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment
• Must be able to read and understand Industrial Machinery and Equipment manuals, follow schematic diagrams and other specifications
• Must have knowledge of fit up and fabrication
• Preferred welding experience or willingness to learn skills
• Familiar with 480 Volt 3-phase, 220/110 single phase and low voltage. Must have a basic understanding of MCCs, motor starters, and motor connections
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to work extended hours
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position
