Maintenance Manager

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, policies, and standards to ensure optimal functioning of all hotel systems and equipment
• Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to support efficiency and professional development
• Coordinate and prioritise maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects to minimise disruption to hotel operations and guest satisfaction
• Conduct regular inspections across the Hillgrove Hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance issues
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to control costs and maximise resource utilisation
• Liaise with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers to secure materials, services, and equipment for maintenance activity
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest concerns to ensure comfort and safety at all times
• Implement preventative maintenance programmes to extend the lifespan of equipment, minimise downtime, and reduce repair costs
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, and warranties to support effective tracking and reporting

• Previous management experience in a similar hotel environment – ideally 2–3 years
• The ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and a strong standards-driven approach
• A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
• Flexibility in day-to-day demands with a hands-on, proactive attitude
• Electrical or plumbing qualifications (an advantage)
